Padbury Campus – Deputy News

Welcome the 2020 school year. Students have settled into their new classes well. The children have been busy learning the routines and rules of the classroom and playground, and making new friends. It is great to see many smiling faces throughout the day.

Teachers have met with parents at a class information session where they outlined the class routines, programs, expectations for the year and staff working with your child. If, at any time throughout the year, you have any questions, concerns, or need to speak to the teacher or speech pathologist I encourage you to organise a meeting time.

We follow the ‘Crunch & Sip’ program. In pre-primary and year one the Crunch & Sip break is a set break (on top of recess) during the school morning to eat a healthy snack, such as fruit or vegetables, and drink water in the classroom. This gives students the chance to re-fuel to improve concentration in the classroom. Our kindy classes have shared fruit time. We encourage healthy eating at school.

Please return the Student Update Form and Student Health Care Summary Form if you haven’t done so already. It is important that we have a contact number that we can reach parents/caregivers on during the school day. It is also important that student medical details are updated each year.
