Padbury Campus – Pre Primary Term 4

Padbury Pre Primary A

This term we had our Book Week dress ups and book fair. Our families did a fantastic job with our costumes and we shared many stories. In biological science we learned about living things such as plants and mini-beasts. We were very brave at the Spineless Wonders Incursion where we learned about mini-beasts and got to touch real ones too. We planted beans and kept a diary of the growth. We were very patient watching, watering and waiting for them to grow. They sprouted roots, stems and leaves. We then planted them outside our classroom and made a tee pee together. Hopefully we will have a lush green outdoor reading and play area soon.

We are now learning about our personal histories and we made our family trees. All our families look different, some families are small and some families are big. But the most important thing to remember is that we all love and take care of each other. We celebrate with each other. In our Celebrations home-corner, we role-play families and choose from a birthday party, baby shower or Christmas party. We give presents, eat a meal and play some games. Our favourite games are ‘Pin the Horn on the Unicorn’, ‘Feed the Baby’ and decorating the Christmas trees.

We’ve had a wonderful year together. Well done everyone! Thank you to our wonderful Pre Primary team this year: Miss Koest, Mrs Memik, Mrs Hopper and Miss Thornton.

Padbury Pre Primary B

Term 4 in Pre-Primary B Padbury is so busy, great fun and with lots of new experiences. Our first assembly for Book Week, then the parade and the next day the “Spineless Wonders” incursion. Holding the bugs was scary but exciting as well. We have also been working on our Literacy Based Unit – Goldilocks and the three bears.

Padbury Pre Primary C

Pre Primary C have been super busy in this term. We have had book week dress up, a mini beast incursion, we have been growing beans and have also been busy learning our narrative for the term, ‘Goldilocks and The Three Bears’. The children have especially enjoyed role playing ‘Goldilocks and The Three Bears’ in the home corner and we even had a chance to make and eat the Three Bears porridge, and it was delicious!
