Padbury Deputy News
I hope all families had an enjoyable and restful school holiday break. Our Pre-primary and Year One classes have started their Edu-Dance lessons and are enjoying the fun and energetic sessions. Lessons will continue each Monday this term.
The LDC classes at Padbury will join in the Padbury Primary School Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 2nd September. Please note that this is subject to change, depending on the COVID-19 situation at the time, and the weather. Kindy A and Pre-primary classes will be participating in the carnival until recess time and our Year One classes will be participating in the carnival until lunchtime. The students have been busy practicing for the running races and team games leading up to the day. A decision will be made closer to the time regarding parents attending, and we will inform you of this.
The majority of parents have accessed their child’s Semester 1 Student Report on Connect. If you require assistance in accessing Connect, please contact the office on 9407 3050. Teachers have been completing Semester Two Documented Plans for students. These are the goals that your child will work towards at school over this term and next. They include goals from last semester that were not fully achieved, as well as some new goals. The Documented Plan will come home with your child this week. Contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
Thank you to all parents and carers for adhering to the “drop and go” morning routine. It has been pleasing to see students’ independent skills continue to develop. I would like to remind parents that school starts at 8.55am sharp. Please ensure that your child is at school on time in the morning (between 8:30am and 8:50am). I would also like to remind you that our School Development Day is Thursday 13th August. This is a pupil free day as staff will be undertaking professional learning.

Poseidon and Quinns Beach Deputy News
It is hard to believe it is Term 3 already, and the holidays are a distance memory. It has been a great start to the term after such a disrupted term 1 and 2. We are lucky to be living in WA in these difficult times. You will have received your child’s goals for semester 2, please ask your child’s teacher if you have any questions regarding the goals. They will be assessed and rated at the end of semester 2. Term 3 is the time that schools generally have sports carnivals. Both Poseidon and Quinns have the sports day scheduled for Friday the 4th of September and all the children are learning the team games that will be played on the day. There will be more information regarding how these days will run coming up so keep an eye out for that.
Most parents have accessed Connect to read their child’s semester 1 report, but there are still some who have not. Please call the Padbury office to get some help logging on to Connect.
