Book Week

This week the Padbury campus is celebrating Book Week. We know that reading to children has many benefits, and that books can be used to promote children’s language. Parents are encouraged to read and share books with their children as much as possible. Our Scholastic Book Fair is held in the library this week. Don’t forget to pop into the Book Fair if you haven’t already done so. Our dress-up day is this Friday 29th October, and we look forward to seeing many wonderful book characters.

Exiting Students

If your child is exiting to mainstream next year and you haven’t yet let us know the school that your child will be attending, please inform the office or your child’s teacher.  We will be sending information to mainstream schools in the coming weeks about the LDC and suggested strategies to support your child in their new class next year.

Attendance

Regular attendance at school is fundamental to student learning. A great education begins with students coming to school each and every day and arriving on time. There is no safe number of days for missing school – everyday counts. Of course, there are always times when students need to miss school, such as when they’re unwell or have appointments. It is vital that “days off” for other reasons are avoided if possible.
